Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski had a little fun on Tuesday with a sophomoric remark about their Sunday opponent’s love of giving “low blows,” but Denver Broncos cornerback Bradley Roby sounds inspired rather than offended by it.
It was the first bulletin board material to come out of Patriots camp when most of the trash talk has been emanating from Denver with their Tom Brady ‘cry baby’ shots from a few players this week.
“It was a funny remark,” Broncos cornerback Bradley Roby said, per Cameron Wolfe of the Denver Post.
“I like stuff like that. That gets me amped up. I saw that last night, and I got wanting to play. So we’ll see. That’s all you can say. We’ll see.”
Teammate Ryan Harris was just as dismissive of the back and forth, saying all that matters is the actual game.
“It’s just a distraction,” he said. “This game is going to be decided on the field on Sunday, not on some social media site.”
