Holly Holm: Back off criticism of Ronda Rousey

Seems the whole world turned on Ronda Rousey as soon as she was knocked out by Holly Holm in brutal fashion.

But Holm doesn’t think people should be “too brutal” with their criticism of Rousey, per USA TODAY Sports FTW.

“When you get in that Octagon, it’s one of the loneliest places in the world, because it’s only up to you to do it,” she told Dan Patrick.

“A lot of people wouldn’t even have the nerve to be able to get in and just put it all on the line. Millions of people are watching you. And you might get knocked out, you might not. You might do well, you might not … There’s a reason why only certain people fight. You’re putting yourself out there and you know that people are going to say something one way or another. And it’s a brutal place to be but it’s what makes winning that awesome (and) makes losing that devastating.”
