Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan made the tactical decision to make former Jets linebacker IK Enemkpali a team captain for their matchup with New York on Sunday – a practice Ryan has been known to do in the past – trot out former players from the opposing team as some sort of mind game (ooooohhh take that other team…)
So the man who was on the receiving end of a jaw-breaking Enemkpali face punch – Jets quarterback Geno Smith, isn’t surprised in the least.
“I don’t know why you guys are acting surprised,” Smith said, via ESPN. “I don’t think you are surprised. No one should be surprised.”
A little back and forth with reports, per PFT:
“I don’t take it personally, if that’s what you’re asking.”
“Why would I?”
Well, Enemkpali punched you in the face.
Next question indeed.
