Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Grffin III’s father Robert Lee Griffin Jr., or has he’s been affectionately dubbed “RG2,” has been ordered to serve 10 days in a Hampton, VA jail after being convicted of reckless driving, per the Associated Press.
Griffin was busted on Aug 2nd driving 115 mph on Interstate 64 in Hampton – the speed limit for that portion of the highway is 60.
On Wednesday, Griffin pleaded not guilty, but the judge obviously didn’t agree, sentencing him to 60 days, but with 50 suspended. He’ll serve his time on consecutive weekends starting Oct. 2nd.
No comment from his son’s attorney, Benjamin Kavanagh on the news.
