Eagles center Jason Kelce responds to Weatherford’s QB comments

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, probably like most of his teammates, took a little offense to Giants punter Steve Weatherford’s sharp criticism of the Eagles’ current QB corps, comparing them to automobiles.

“I’m gonna give you a Ferrari [Bradford] that maybe won’t be running all the time, or I’m giving you a nice Cadillac sedan [Sanchez],” Weatherford said. “It’s not the fastest but you know what you’re going to get out of it. Bradford can go from zero to 60 in three seconds, but you don’t know if he’s gonna start up some days.”

On Tim Tebow: “I’m the biggest Tim Tebow fan in the world,”… “I mean, who wouldn’t want their daughter to date a guy like that? I’ll tell you what, I don’t want him taking snaps for my team.”

Kelce, in a Monday morning tweet, slammed the punter for his comments:

In a response to the response, Weatherford jumped on Twitter to stand by his words, while apologizing at the same time:
