TMZ is reporting that many unnamed ESPN employees, probably some names we know very well if they were brave enough to come forward, wanted Britt McHenry to be promptly fired after her nasty put-downs toward a towing lot attendant went viral.
After Britt went all “Mean Girls” on the unidentified woman, some, perhaps many at the network felt a week-long suspension just wasn’t enough.
Here’s a sampling of what TMZ claims came out of Bristol, CT following the incident:
• Not everyone at ESPN wants Britt McHenry back on the air — with several employees (including on-air talent) telling us plain and simple — “She should have been fired.”
• We spoke with a whole bunch of ESPN employees … from producers to production people and even famous faces … and not one person said they’re down with the 1-week suspension.
• One high level producer tells us, “She’s the worst. Hopefully she’ll be fired soon.”
• Another person told us, “[What she did] reflects on all of us at ESPN. She will be fired soon. If not, I’ll be shocked.” …
