Eagles: We’re not responsible for Black History Month calendar flap

The Philadelphia Eagles are in damage control after the team’s 2015 calendar featured WR Riley Cooper’s photo for the month of February, which is of course Black History Month.

If you remember, Cooper was the guy spewing racial slurs at a black security guard during a Kenny Chesney concert in 2013, and it was all captured on video.

“We do not oversee the production of the annual team calendar,” the team said in a news release.

“We do not provide any input about the players who are featured or where those pictures appear in the calendar. The NFL licenses the production of that calendar to a third party, and we do not have an opportunity to review the material.”

So who does put together the calendar? That wasn’t revealed in the statement, only that it was a “third party.”
