The Green Bay Packers and head coach Mike McCarthy were left scratching their heads during and after their epic failure against the Seattle Seahawks to start off the season.
But worry not – coach Mike has an answer to what might have contributed to their defensive woes.
“We were not sharp,” McCarthy said Friday, via NFL.com after watching the unit allow 207 yards on the ground.
Not sharp indeed. Sharp’s opposite word “dull” may be too generous…
Another nugget from McCarthy:
“We didn’t run through the tackling,” he said. “I mean, our footwork was poor and when you start leaving your feet to tackle people, it puts you in a compromising position.”
