Rams cut 17 players not named Sam

The Michael Sam reality show is still rolling… at least as of Saturday morning.

The St. Louis Rams trimmed down their roster by cutting 17 players on Friday, but Sam made the cut once again. Teams are required to get down to the 53-man limit by 4 p.m. ET Saturday.

That makes 5 more cuts to make for the Rams.

In case anyone’s wondering, here’s a few player’s not named Sam that were released: Defensive linemen Kourtnei Brown and Deantre Harlan, along with sixth-round quarterback Garrett Gilbert and seventh-round tackle Mitchell Van Dyk, (per PFT)

Sam could very well become a casualty, but that would leave ESPN scrambling to report on someone else’s shower habits.
