Just one day before former Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young was scheduled to attend a pretrial hearing on a slew of charges (including four felonies) in Newport Beach, Calif., he managed to get himself arrested yet again.
Add a another felony charge to his rap sheet as Young has is currently being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles on the charge of battery with serious bodily injury, which, although no details are provided, means he must have beaten the crap out of someone.
UPDATE: TMZ says ‘Young knocked out the man he was fighting by punching him in the face. We’re told the man — who Young knows — was transported to the hospital and later released.’
His bail is currently set for $105,000, according to an L.A. district attorney’s office spokesperson and the L.A. sheriff’s department’s website, via David Leon Moore of USA TODAY Sports.
Young was also charged with four lesser counts of battery of school, park or hospital property. The 24-year-old was charged back in 2013 with 11 counts in all, including felony burglary and assault. His father says Young suffers from a mental disorder, and his attorneys have delayed several court dates in the past while he received treatment.
