Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton blasted a huge homer during the league’s Homerun Derby Monday night, almost clearing the park entirely.
ESPN broadcasters supposed the ball would have traveled 510 feet unimpeded. It was however impeded by the last few rows of seats.
Per USA TODAY Sports: ‘Stanton’s six homers in the first round were enough to earn a bye to the third round in the Home Run Derby’s new format. But in a head-to-head semifinal matchup against Todd Frazier, Stanton hit no home runs and was eliminated.’
