Crafty burglars (or was it an inside job?) reportedly stole $250,000 in cash, $125,000 in jewelry, and two semi-automatic handguns from Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson’s home in South Philadelphia sometime before Saturday morning.
Jackson was in Miami at the time, but his mother, who discovered the robbery Saturday, said some of his friends have access to the home when Jackson isn’t there. There were no signs of forced entry, but two safes were broken into — and a third safe was stolen. Neighbors also say that “a lot of people come and go” from the home.
Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Jackson is offering a $50,000 reward in exchange for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators.
