White Swan High School in Washington state has quite an attraction – 400 lb running Tony Picard.
The biggest running back in high school, Pop Warner or even the NFL (he weighs about twice that of an average NFL RB) rushed for 576 yards and seven TDs this year at the small school of less than 300 students, albeit in an assumingly slow manner.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports that his coach put Picard at running back because he was so athletic for his size.
“You’ll see the other team just kind of looking at him when they’re shaking hands, like, ‘Oh my gosh, do I really have to tackle this guy?'” Picard’s coach, Andy Bush, told ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
