2003 NASCAR Truck Series champion and current BK Racing driver Travis Kvapil is in deep s–t after being arrested at his home Tuesday night, reports the Moorsville Tribune:
In a news release late Wednesday afternoon, the Mooresville Police Department said officers responded to Kvapil’s home following a 911 phone call regarding an assault involving his wife.
After an investigation, Kvapil, 37, was arrested. He was taken to the Iredell County Jail and held under a domestic hold awaiting an appearance in District Court Wednesday.
Kvapil just finished 26th at Kansas Speedway on Sunday, despite a lap 148 spin.
Per USA TODAY Sports: ‘ Police arrested Kvapil following a domestic dispute with his wife in Mooresville, a city north of Charlotte where many NASCAR drivers make their home, after receiving a 911 call, according to Cooke.
“The officers felt there was probably a case of an assault,” Cooke told USA TODAY Sports. Kvapil, 37, was booked Tuesday night and held overnight in Iredell County Jail. He was freed on bond Wednesday after a district court appearance.
