Let’s try for a moment to take that vision of Rex Ryan, sex and likely feet involved out of our heads, shall we?
According to Seth Walder of the New York Daily News, Jets head coach Rex Ryan wants his players really prepared for this Sunday’s big matchup with the New England Patriots, so he took a page out of “Raging Bull” to send his team a message – no “activities that in theory could tap into the overall supply of energy” (Mike Florio, PFT).
Newly acquired receiver Josh Cribbs gives the details:
“I can tell he really wants this game. He was like, ‘Rest your legs. Don’t do nothing for your wife. Say, baby next week. I’m going to do it next week. I’m going to take out the trash next week. I’ll take the kids to practice next week, but I have to rest for this game. That just showed us how, I’m going to tell him to put it on paper so when I give it to my wife, I can be like, ‘Hey, Rex said that I don’t have to take out the trash.’ So, he might get a call from my wife.”
A reporter asked if Cribbs was referring to “something else” as sex, he answered, “You guys are sick.”
