Vanderbilt receiver Chris Boyd indicted in growing rape caseon August 17th, 2013 at 6:59 AM
Prosecutors and police are pressing hard in their investigation of a rape that occurred in June, indicting three more people on Friday, reports CBSSports.com.
That makes seven people indicted already, and authorities may not be done. Among the three indicted Friday was Vandy wide receiver Chris Boyd, Miles Finley and Dominick Quinzio, who are both friends of tight end Brandon Vandenburg.
Boyd is charged with being an accessory after the fact, a felony, and will surrender to police soon. His bond has been set at $25,000.
Vandenburg and three other players were indicted last week.
They were indicted on five counts of aggravated rape each of an unconscious 21-year-old student at the campus.
Unlike the others, Boyd, who has been suspended from the team, was a major contributor to Vandy’s offense, catching 50 passes for 774 yards and five touchdowns for the Commodores last season.
