New York Jets rookie cornerback Dee Milliner looked just terrible in coverage during their preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars Saturday night, so much so that head coach Rex Ryan and leader of the secondary Antonio Cromartie couldn’t help but show their disgust, reports Dan Hanzus of NFL.com.
“For this game, it’s the second preseason game for him and we expect more from him than we saw tonight, ” Cromartie said, who’s expected to start across from Milliner in the regular season.
“I was a little upset with some of the mistakes we made,” Jets coach Rex Ryan said of the secondary. “I didn’t like the way we competed and challenged on the outside — not so much Cromartie, but from Dee.”
One things for sure, Rex – Darrelle Revis isn’t walking through that door…
