Repeat offender: Ravens’ Asa Jackson suspended for 8 games

Asa JacksonBaltimore Ravens cornerback Asa Jackson has once again violated the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

So that means this time around, as a repeat offender he’ll sit out eight games out, not four.

Asa got busted last season for a violation, his rookie year, and just about anyone call tell you that it’s not the ideal way to start your NFL career. Add in this latest suspension and he may be looking for work real soon.

“My reaction to that is that you’ve got to follow the rules,” coach John Harbaugh said after practice Friday, via the Huffington Post. “If you don’t follow the rules, you get suspended. That’s a fair rule, there’s no place for that, and he’s getting what he deserves.

“As far as what it does to our corner depth, that’s one less corner that we have. We’ll be missing Asa those first eight weeks. Whether he’ll back after that, time will tell.”
