Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito was involved in a little skirmish just before training camp, reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
PFT obtained the police report of the incident: “The incident took place when Incognito and his friends were attempting to get close to the stage during a performance at a club in the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami. A security guard told police that he asked Incognito’s group to step back, and someone in the group replied, “f–k you and what are you going to do about it?”
At that point, an altercation started between the security guard and Incognito’s friend, and Incognito told police that he was just trying to step in and stop the fight when he was hit in the face by the guard. The police report says Incognito had minor injuries to his face but declined medical treatment.
Incognito was not arrested but was escorted from the club and given a trespass warning, and he was told not to return to the hotel without permission.”
Hotel security cameras captured the incident and it’s not clear if the police or the NFL have viewed the video footage. The Dolphins reportedly knew about it when it happened and tried real hard to keep it under wraps.
And they did a damn good job of it, until now of course.
