On Thursday morning, Chicago Bears fullback Evan Rodriguez joined the list of drunk NFL players taking the wheel and getting caught.
According to WSCR, Rodriguez was pulled over for driving under the influence, speeding and improper lane usage on I-90 at 3:30 a.m.
The Bears have acknowledged the arrest and are looking into the matter.
“We are aware of the reports regarding Evan Rodriguez,” the Bears said in a statement. “We are currently gathering information to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the situation.”
This is the second arrest for Rodriguez this offseason. In March, he was arrested in Miami for resisting an officer and disorderly intoxication.
A fourth-round draft pick out of Temple in 2012, Rodriguez played in 12 games as a rookie, starting 5. I think it’s safe to say Evan may not make it to training camp with the team.
