Girls softball coach resigns, used players to find him dates

Troy HennumRoosevelt High School girls softball coach Troy Hennum resigned from his job after it was discovered that he was sending his girls out on a chick hunt to find him a date.

A woman who works at a local sporting goods store was approached by his giggling girls, and she ended up blowing the whistle on his game plan to the school, located in Seattle.

Kat Aagard, 25, was flattered at first when a group of girls came in with a special request from coach Troy.

“They asked me if they could get my phone number and picture for their coach,” she told ABC News. Later on, Kat and Hennum exchanged text messages and she said he “seemed like a nice enough guy for a while.”

That is until she did a little googling and found out he left another school amid accusations of texting a female student. “I was completely … shocked to see something inappropriate happened with this coach before,” she said.
