I wasn’t exactly sure what the Whelen Modified Tour meant, but found this convenient wikipedia entry:
“The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) (previously the NASCAR Winston Modified Tour and NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series from 1985 until 2005) is a stock car racing series owned and operated by NASCAR in the Modified division.”
Meet driver Mike Stefanik, who was interviewed by the Speed Network just after a heart-breaking loss. The sweaty and angry Stefanik crashed his car and finished 13th in the race, and it apparently wasn’t “just one of those racin’ deals” as the driver that bumped him from behind suggested.
