Robert JeffressTim Tebow has had a rough year.

John Elway traded him because he simply didn’t like him. Then the New York Jets traded for him and used the quarterback as a blocker on special teams, and his teammates trashed him behind his back calling him “terrible.”

Now controversial pastor Dr. Robert Jeffress of  First Baptist Church in Dallas is calling Tebow out for his withdrawal from speaking at his church due to public pressure. Tebow pulled out of the event after a media firestorm over the pastor’s past comments about gays and non-christians. Tim, via Twitter, cited “new information” as the reason for the cancellation.

Jeffress didn’t use Tebow’s name, but we get the thrust.

“I am grateful for men of God like these who are willing to stand up and act like men rather than wimping out when it gets a little controversial and an inconvenient thing to stand for the truth,” he said to his flock, via USA Today. “God bless men like that.” (that’s around 7:24 into the video):
