Stephon Marbury proves that theory correct. The ex-NBA star evidently didn’t understand that if you can read it and sign it, it’s a binding contract.
Marbury promised his then chef Thurayyah Mitchell and jump off $900,000 dollars to keep their affair private. Mitchell had the agreement in writing, and filed a lawsuit against Marbury after he stopped making it rain at $600,000. The judge gave the decision to Mitchell and ordered Marbury to pay $331,584.50.
Marbury’s argument? Breach of confidentiality… stupid is… as stupid does.
