Fox10TV is reporting that Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley has been arrested in Mobile, AL for DUI and eluding police.
Looks like this guy can’t stay out of trouble. He was arrested just last month for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and is awaiting a July arraignment. We can’t wait for his June exploits.
Fairley’s graduation from misdemeanor to felony took place shortly after 1 a.m. this morning. He was charged with DUI and attempting to elude police.
The Mobile police department also told Fox10TV that Fairley was also ticketed for reckless driving, no proof of insurance and having an open container of alcohol.
He posted $1,750 bond and was released shortly after 9 a.m. The Lions organization made a statement that they “…are aware of the reports and are in the process of gathering more information.”
The Lions are quickly becoming the old Cincinnati Bengals as of late. In addition to Fairley’s recent arrest, running back Mikel Leshoure was cited twice for possession of marijuana and OT Johnny Culbreath was arrested for the same offense.
WR Titus Young also has not been allowed at the Lions’ OTAs since he suckerpunched Louis Delmas at a workout earlier this month.
Fairley’s agent, Brian Overstreet, did not return a phone call when reached for comment.
